Weekly Makeup Basket #6 - Mini Reviews

Hey everyone :)

Today I'll share with you my "mini" reviews of the products I used in the week of 25th of October - 1st of November. You can see my makeup basket here -> CLICK

Balea Streichelzarte Pflege - a good moisturizing cream that I use mostly as a base for my makeup

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer - I said many times that this primer doesn't do anything to my skin, but lately I've been enjoying it, maybe because my skin doesn't have dry spots at the moment.

Oriflame True Perfection serum - I haven't used it this week, because it didn't work great when I used it before.. I'll try it again sometime soon.

Catrice Kohl Pencil - Brown - I use it for my eyebrows, matches them perfectly.

Catrice Eyebrow Filler - a great product that fills your eyebrows in and they still look natural.

Essence Fixing Compact Powder - an amazing setting powder

Green Line Natural Clear Tinted Moisturizer - Love it for the days when I don't feel like wearing a medium/full coverage foundation.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream - Still haven't decided if I like it or not, maybe because I haven't tested it properly.. As for now, I just think it's average, works like any other concealer.

Avon Ideal Luminous Blush - Antique Rose - Beautiful colour, but very pigmented so a little goes a long way.

Rimmel 3 in 1 Powder Blush - 003 Autumn Catwalk - a "meh" product in my opinion. It's nice but there are 3 different colours and they're very small so I can't really get only one colour on my brush.. which is a shame and I don't see a point having three colours than at all.

Tarte Glistening Powder - Sugar Daddy - Omg, this product is sooo beautiful. I've been using it as a highlighter, but I'm gonna try it as an eyeshadow for sure. It's perfection in a pot and I'm gonna do a review for sure when I test it properly.

Avon Big & Daring Mascara - black - has to go in the trash because it dried out and it just clumps my lashes, otherwise it is a nice mascara

Prestige My Biggest Lashes Mascara - black - a good mascara, gives nice volume to your lashes.

Avon Big & False Lash Mascara - black - hands down the best mascara for volume!

Makeup Revolution Mascara - black - I didn't expect this to be good at first, but it actually isn't that bad and it gives a nice length to your lashes, however it tends to clump them, so I always use it in combination with another mascara.

Oriflame Hypnotic LE Wonder Lash Mascara - Golden Embers - I wish Oriflame would bring these back. The black end of the mascara has been dried out since forever, but I use it for the gold shimmer. Looks beautiful on the lashes!

Oriflame sparkle in Paris LE eyeliner - Shimmering Silver - a silver shimmery eyeliner, it's nice but it tends to smudge in my waterline.

Avon Glimmerstick Diamonds Eyeliner - Spacey Silver - talked about this many times. A beautiful black eyeliner with silver glitter in it. It stays in your waterline forever and doesn't smudge at all.

Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliner - Aqua Pop - a stunning aqua colour, I don't have anything else like this in my collection, extremely pretty.

Essence Longlasting Lipgloss - 24 Just Georgeous - a discontinued colour, but pretty. However it doesn't last long.

Essence Urbaniced LE Lip Cream - 01 Go For A Stroll - I used it only once this week and I don't the think the colour is for me, it's very baby pink. I'll have to try it out more.

Basic Matt Lip Gloss - Matt Salmon - my favourite lip gloss at the moment, because it's matt, lasts long (survives drinking and eating) and a beautiful colour doesn't hurt ;)

Catrice Made To Stay Lip Polish - 080 What's your atti-nude? - nice pinky nude lip product, but it's not very longlasting and I tend to want that from my lip product at the moment.

Lorac Mega PRO Eyeshadow Palette - Amazing, the colour combinations is lovely, staying power is nice and this don't crease on my lids. Pure love :)

Elf primer - Sheer - my favourite, it really makes eyeshadows lasts longer.

Highlight Your Natural Beauty

Heey loves :)

Today's post is inspired by the brand Glossier. If you haven't heard for them - Glossier is a modern beauty brand inspired by real life. They believe that beauty should be fun, easy, imperfect and personal. Their products are designed to highlight (not hide) natural beauty, so don't expect full coverage foundations ;)
From face mists, masks, skin tints to products for brows, they have it all.

I'm especially intrigued by their skin tint, however it claims to be super sheer, so be aware of that.

www.investmentfactory.com

The inspiration came from them and I decided to share with you my essentials for highlighting my natural beauty. Don't get me wrong, I do have enormous pores, acne scarring, redness etc., but I don't want to use a full coverage foundation everyday to hide it all, and anyway this "imperfections" only mean that I'm a human, so what :P

I decided to include a little bit of everything, from cleanser to brow filler.. :)

1. AVON Anew Reversalist Foaming Cream Cleanser

Let me tell you, this cleanser is phenomenal, at least my skin loves it! It's a gentle, creamy cleanser, however it does leave skin look refreshed and renewed. It doesn't leave your skin excessively dry. A must if you want your skin to look good :)

2. Catrice Eyebrow Filler

I know I know, I've written many times about this gel and this is exactly why I had to include it in this post :) I have quite thick eyebrows and I don't like drawing, extending etc. them, because to me it doesn't look nice. So I mostly use this (in combination with Catrice brown pencil) eyebrow filler, just to keep my brows nice all day and to fill them in just a little bit. You get a nice, natural look, and it's what I'm all about (especially for the brows).

3. Green Line Natural Clear Tinted Moisturizer

The next essential product for natural looking skin is this tinted moisturizer that is awesome if you have combination skin like I do. My skin is quite oily with dry spots. This contains lemongrass and honey extracts plus it's against spots and blackheads. I use it a lot and it does make me feel more confident, without covering my face with a "mask" :D

4. Avon Nutra Effects Radiance Tinted Moisturizer

Another moisturizer, but this one is different than a previous one. It's paraben, pthalates and dye free, which means it's suitable for sensitive skin plus it contains spf 20. It's formulated with Strelitzia seeds and diminishes hyper pigmentation and brightens skin. I use this one mainly in summer, because it is very light.

5. Labello Lip Butter - Vanilla & Macadamia

For the days I want my lips to look natural (but nice) I use this Labello Lip Butter. I like it because it moisturizes my lips and gives them a little bit of shine.

These are all my essentials for highlighting natural beauty and please let me know what yours are in the comments bellow! ;) And as Glossier says: "Skin first, makeup second, smile always!" <3

Have a lovely weekend,
Katja

REVIEW: Avon Makeup Setting Spray

Hi guys! :) You may have (or not) noticed that I haven't posted a mini reviews of the products I had in my makeup basket this week, it's because I barely wore any makeup (just a mascara and an eyeliner) because I had a busy week. So I can't post mini reviews this week but there will be a new makeup basket post tomorrow :)

Enough rambling and let's finally start with the review of this product - Avon Makeup Setting Spray.

What Avon says: "Keep your gorgeous going! A quick spritz helps set makeup in place! Microfine mist dries quickly to an invisible finish. Helps set your foundation, blush, and eye makeup in place without drying our skin. Vitamins A, C, E infused. Non-sticky feel. Ultra-lightweight, fast-drying spray."

This is my first setting spray ever, so I can't compare it, but I think it is really good. Holds my makeup in place for the whole day (and I have combination skin, dry and oily). I also love the fact that it makes the foundation looks less cakey. Plus the vitamins don't hurt :D

It doesn't have any kind of smell to it and it dries quite fast, a few minutes and you're ready to go :) I spray my face when I'm all done with makeup, and even my mascara doesn't smudge, which I was a little scared of. You get 125 ml of product for around 6,5€ (when it's on sale), but you can get it cheaper, I bought mine for around 2,50€, an awesome deal!

PROS:
- makeup lasts longer
- lightweight
- foundation looks less cakey
- doesn't make your skin dry
- infused with vitamins
- drying quickly

CONS:
- price (when it's not on sale it's not that cheap)

In my opinion this product is totally worth buying and I would recommend it anytime to my customers! (because I do sell Avon;))

Till next time, have a lovely weekend loves:3

Empties #11

Hi Loves :)

I accumulated some products through the past month (since my last empties post) and I can't wait to share them with you, so I can throw them away finally :D

Enjoy! :)

Balea Tropical Sunshine Duschgel - oh what a wonderful scent this was.. very summery.

Repurchase: It was a LE, but if I can still find it somewhere, yes I'll repurchase.

Afrodita Orange Cream - cream shower gel - everyone has been raving about this shower gels and guess what, it's justified. This smelled yummy, no wonder even the packaging says it's not for eating :P It contained cocoa particles and the smell lasted a few hours on me.

Repurchase: Maybe.

Avon Senses Hand Wash - Refreshing Lagoon - I liked it, but it was nothing special.. I mean it's really not worth the full price which I think is around 2,50€. It surprised me that it actually did neutralize odour (like cigarette smell etc.).

Repurchase: Probably no, the price is too high for something so average that you use every single day.

Avon Naturals Face Cleanser - Nourishing Green Olive - It was a nice cleanser, especially for sensitive skin, because it is mild. I liked it a lot.

Repurchase: They don't sell it anymore, but otherwise I would definitely.

Balea Dry Deo Roll-On - A great deodorant, that works really nice.

Repurchase: I did already.

Spar DentalCare Whitening Toothpaste - This one is almost full and yes, it's going in the trash. What a waste of money. I bought this one because I couldn't find my regular Parodontax toothpaste and god this is a horrible toothpaste. The smell and the taste is horrific.

Repurchase: Never.

Oriflame Love Nature Cleansing Wipes - I really like the Love Nature line that is meant for oily skin and contains tea tree. I use the cleanser from this line and also a corrector for pimples and I'm very happy with all the products. The wipes are the newest addition to the line and I enjoyed them, my skin felt really clean after using them. The only con I have is the price, it's about 2,50€ for 25 wipes. I wish they were cheaper.

Repurchase: Maybe.

Oriflame Visions Kiss Me Lipstick - pretty in pink - a pink shimmery lipstick, nothing special. It didn't last very long.

Repurchase: No.

Ebelin Professional Nagellack-Entferner Express - an awesome nail polish remover, and I'm not going back to the regular ones, because this works much faster plus without a mess!

Repurchase: I did already.

Balea Peel-Off Maske Mit Bernstein Extrakt - an ok maske.. I didn't notice anything special honestly.

Repurchase: I still have some, but when I finish them, probably no

Avon Cherish EDP sample - a floral scent. I think it's very nice and I don't usually like floral scents, but this one is subtle.

Purchase: Maybe.

Weekly Makeup Basket #4 - Mini Reviews

Hey loves :)

Mini reviews for this week's makeup basket are here and if you want to see what products I used in week of 11th October - 18th October click HERE

Oriflame True Perfection Miracle Perfecting Serum - I don't know how I feel about this product. It seems good, smells nice and even makes my pores less visible, however when I put a foundation over this it just crumbles after a few hours O.o .. weird and I'll have to try it with different foundations.

Balea Streichelzarte Pflege - A great moisturizing cream, I repurchased it many times.

Catrice Kohl pencil - brown - I use it for brows and it's a perfect match for me

Catrice Eyebrow Filler - Great product for brows, keeps them in place and even fills them in a little.

Elf Primer - Sheer - My favourite primer of all times. Works great with my oily lids.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer - 51 light radiance - I really like this concealer, however I always have to set it with powder.

Avon CC cream - Natural Beige - I liked this one at first and used it quite a lot, but nowadays it seems to cling to my dry patches and it really doesn't look nice :/

Miss Sporty So Matte Perfect Stay Foundation - 01 Light - A nice foundation that even though it's matte doesn't cling to dry patches, which is extremely rare.

Essence "Brit-Tea" LE - Illuminating base - Pure love. They should put this one in a standard range.

Essence All About Matt! fixing compact powder - Great setting powder.

Essence "Happy Girls Are Pretty" LE blush - 01 you sweeten my day! - Even though I've read quite a few bad reviews, I like it so far. The pigmentation isn't that great, but it's not bad either.
Essence "Urbaniced" LE highlighter - 01 the happy direction - Since I've written a first impressions post about the products I gor from this collection, my opinion about this higlighter hasn't changed, it's beautiful :3

Essence "Happy Holidays" LE blush - 01 run, run rudolph! - This product was in last year's christmas limited edition and the colour may scare you when you see it, however it's very, very blendable and looks natural on the cheeks. It's very pigmented, so a little goes a long way :)

Acevivi 28 Eyeshadow Palette - A beautiful palette with perfect fall colours. These are good, however the pigmentation of the matte shadows isn't that great.

Essence "Cookies & Cream" LE eyeshadow - 01 so hot, donut! & Essence "Cookies & Cream" LE eyeshadow - 03 last night a cookie saved my life! - Amazing quality eyeshadows, very pigmented and buttery, too bad they were limited edition.

Oriflame Kohl Pencil - Black - A good pencil eyeliner, doesn't smudge and lasts long on the waterline.

Essence Kajal Pencil - 22 Taupe me! - I didn't use it at all this week.. it's an average pencil liner.

Maxfactor Kohl Pencil - black - Awesome for tightlining.

Maxfactor kohl pencil - nude - Great if you want your eyes to appear bigger.

Essence Crystal Eyeliner - 07 Blue heaven - Oh let me tell you, this one really has an appropriate name! :) Amazing eyeliner.. I'd say it's duochrome, sometimes looks blue, sometimes green. And a lot of glitters, just beautiful <3

Manhattan Dip Eyeliner - 6 tender brown - This eyeliner has a hard tip, which really makes it easier to use, plus a pretty fall colour doesn't hurt :P

Avon Big & False Lash mascara - black - Amazing, makes your lashes look like falsies, really.

Makeup Revolution mascara - black - I wasn't pleased with this one at first, however now, when it dried a little bit I think it's an ok mascara, makes my lashes look very long, but it doesn't give a lot of volume, so I use it in combination with another mascara.

Oriflame Endless Lash mascara - black - Separates my lashes nicely, otherwise it's nothing special.

Oriflame Stretch & Curl mascara - blue - Nothing special, but I like the deep blue colour.

False Lashes - Natural - These were my first false lashes and omg these really look natural, my boyfriend didn't even knew I'm wearing them :) Except he noticed the fact that my lashes were longer than usual :P

Avon Perfect Kiss Lip Gloss - Naturally nude - Nothing but love for this lip gloss. I don't think I ever liked a lip gloss as much as this one :D Too bad Avon isn't selling them anymore..

Essence "Tribal Summer" LE lipstick - 02 waka waka - I'm not sure if I like this colour or not on me.. I'll have to use it more and then decide if I'll keep it or just sell/exchange it.

Elf Lip Gloss- brown - Quite sticky, darker brown lip gloss. I haven't used this enough to give a proper opinion..

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer - 101 Celestial - An amazing colour, dusty rose that I really enjoy. It does have a scent that I really don't like, but the colour beats it :P

Avon Makeup Setting Spray - Awesome for the price. Give it a go if you can, especially if it's on sale :)

Kisses,
Katja
