REVIEW: Burt's Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm

Hi guys! :)

Today I have another post (review for you) and it's about Burt's Bees Pomegranate lip balm. This one is a holy grail for me, I'll tell you that ;)

What they say: "Bring your lips back to beautiful. This replenishing and hydrating natural lip balm is infused with the antioxidant goodness of pomegranate oil. It replenishes moisture to reveal smooth, healthy lips, while it coats them with a hint of color for an even-toned appearance."

This lip balm comes in a twist up packaging, that I really like and it's very travel friendly too. I'm not very fond of digging fingers in lip balms (like Labello lip butter), so this packaging really works best for me. You get 4,25g of product.
It smells herbal and at first I didn't like the smell, but I got used to it. Oh and a big plus is that it is 100% natural, free from all sorts of chemicals.

It moisturizes my lips well, however I have to frequently reapply it. But I'm not bothered, because I tend to use it when my lips are really dry and nothing else helps. This lip balm makes my lips better everytime. It does leave a slight tint, but only if you apply it a few times.

- twist up, travel friendly packaging
- 100% natural
- moisturizes lips well
- no animal testing

- herbal scent (which can bother some people)
-. requires reapplication

To conclude, I HIGHLY recommend this lip balm to any lip balm lover out there ;) Also for anyone who has dry lips -  for me this is the only product that really helps with extremely dry lips.

Have you tried any of Burt's Bees lip balms, what do you think? ;)

REVIEW: Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet

Hello cuties :)

Today I have for you a review of a Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick, which I got in a giveaway from lovely Astrid (you can check her blog HERE)

I've really wanted to try these lipsticks, because of the matte effect that they give. Currently I've been quite obsessed with matte lipsticks.

What Bourjois says: "Matte finish and incredibly light. Rouge Edition Velvet by Bourjois is the new era of lipsticks. An amazing, irresistible formula. Its soft, melting texture glides on to the lips and turns into a matt, velvety and incredibly light colour. Lips are left smooth and soft as velvet. Enriched with evanescent oils, it’s incredibly sensuous formula provides a soft, second-skin feel, without drying or fading lips."

The packaging is nice, I like the transparent bottle so you can obviously see the colour and the lipsticks also have a shade-tinted cap, which is also lovely. It has a standard foam applicator which makes the application easy, however I like to sometimes use my fingertips for a softer look.

The formula is creamy and applies glossy on the lips, but settles down to a matte finish in about 20 minutes (it does take quite long). I'd say at first when you apply it, it does transfer, however I noticed after about an hour wear, it didn't transfer at all when I was drinking. If you apply it with the applicator, it does apply a bit unevenly. I really don't like the chemical smell, but it's gone after you apply it on the lips. The formula (and the smell) of this reminds me of a Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer. Oh and it does stain the lips.

There are 6 shades available to chose from. I've got it in a shade 01 Personne Ne Rouge, which is a bright classic red. It is not meant only for the warm or cool skin tones, this one is for all. Being a matte lipstick, you really have to have perfect lips so I would advise not to apply this on chapped lips.

- long lasting
- beautiful, travel friendly packaging
- stains the lips
- matte finish

- chemical smell (might bother some people)
- quite expensive (but worth every € in my opinion)
- uneven application
- because it is matte, you have to have perfect lips

All in all, I've been loving this one since I got it, so Astrid - many thanks again for the lovely prize<3

I hope you all enjoyed this review and I really recommend this line of lipsticks, I'm quite sure I'll buy another shade, maybe a nude or a pink one ;) If you tried this line, please let me know your opinion ;)

My picks: Essence Brit-Tea Trend Edition

Hello cuties :)

Today I'll share with you what I bought from the newest Essence trend edition called Brit-Tea. When I first saw the preview I was very excited  :)

1. Earring set - 01 Blossoms etc. ; 2,18€

I knew I'll buy those earrings the first time I saw them. They're just too cute :D So of course I couldn't resist :P There are two pairs of earrings in this set, one rose colour and the other one violet (I'd say violet like lavender).

I expected them to be bigger, however they are pretty small.

2. Illuminating base - 01 Make tea not war ; 2,79€

This is a very light base, that gives skin a really nice natural and radiant glow. You can wear it alone or as a primer. The thing that suprised me is, that it's not a clear base, but has a colour to it.

Oh and it has a veeery nice smell, I wish they made perfume out of this :D It's some kind of floral, however some people might not like it. I have tried it a few times, and I have to say it really gives a nice glow, it would probably look great if you mix it with your foundation, I might try doing that ;)

You can see the glow that it gives on the picture above :)

3. Blush - 01 Tea-riffic garden party ; 3,59€

The thing I was the most excited for is this blush :P Sooo pretty, I just wanna look at it and never use it :D The 3D effect of roses reminds me of Milani blushes.

Isn't it georgeous? ;) It's not that great pigmented, but you can definitely build it up. As you can see it has 3 different kinds of colours, the white is in my opinion a perfect highlight, very glittery. The light rose is lovely, my favourite, not very pigmented but nice for an everyday look. Also contains shimmer, but very little. And the dark rosey colour is a matt one.

It's very easy to use, very blendable. Oh and of course you can combine these three colours together, so you basically get 4 colours in one blush for amazing price ;)

I hope you enjoyed  ;)

Please Maja check your mail :) Thank you everyone for entering my giveaway and following me!

Empties #6

Hey guys:)

I'm back today with an empties post (I seem to go through products quickly :O). Oh and my giveaway is now closed, I'm very thankful to all who participated and I'll annouce a winner tomorrow or a day after, so bare with me :P

I hope you enjoy this kind of posts, I love to write them and read them on other blogs ;)

Oriflame Sweden Nature Secrets Soap Bar - vanilla & pomegranate. I've really enjoyed this soap bar, it smelled so nice, fresh and it made my hands very soft. I always buy soaps from Oriflame, specially from their Nature Secrets line, because I think they're great quality for a bargain.

Repurchase: Another scent.

Balea Street Art Showergel - mit orangenduft (oranges). This was a limited edition shower gel and it was nice, like all the other Balea shower gels.

Repurchase: No, because I like to try different shower gels. And it was a LE anyway.

Balea Rasiergel Blueberry Love - oh I loved the smell of blueberries! It's a really great shaving gel, very inexpensive and makes my legs very smooth.

Repurchase: In a different scent - currently I'm in love with the coconut one, heavenly smell, a must have for summer!

Avon Planet Spa Pillow Mist - I bought this mist in a bundle with some other products, otherwise I don't think I'd give it a go, which is a shame, because it is quite a nice product. You get 100 ml of product that smells like lavender and camomiles, but I mostly smell lavender. You're supposed to spray this on the pillow and apparently you sleep better. I must say, for me this really worked. However I used it in combination with a cream (from the same line) on my hands.

Repurchase: Yes, when it's on sale.

La Roche-Posay Astringent Lotion Micro-exfoliant sample - I had a love-hate relationship with this one. I absolutely hated the smell, which was like alcohol and my skin was dry after using it. Oh and I thought La Roche-Posay's products don't contain alcohol? This one however does, and it is second on the ingredients list. This was a 15 ml sample, so I had it for quite a few times. And I must say after a regular use I started to notice that my pores did look smaller, but it wasn't a very big difference, maybe I'd have to use it longer, probably :D

Purchase:  Probably not, because of the price :(

Balea Gesichts Wasser - with fruit acid, that I've talked about million times before :D I think this one will be forever repurchased, I just hope that they don't discontinue it.

Repurchase: I already did!

Oriflame Sweden Hand Cream - a limited edition one, I think they came out with this P.S. I love you "line" last year for valentine's day. I've used it this past two months (or even longer) everyday, sometimes even twice a day and still it lasted me soooo long :D It smelled like strawberries, very nice smell. It did moisturize my hands and it soaked very fast in the skin.

Repurchase: No, it was a LE.

Fruttini Body Lotion - cherry vanilla scent. I reaaally did not like the scent at all, waaay too sweet for me, especially for using it on body.

Repurchase: No.

Maybelline New York Volum' Express Mascara - pure love. The formula doesn't leave clumpy lashes and it really gives them a lot of volume.
Repurchase: Yes!

Thank you so much for reading. I'd like to know your opinion on any of the products ;)

Till next time, xoxo
