REVIEW: Freedom Clubbed To Death Eyeshadow Palette

Hey loves :)

Today's post is all about the Clubbed To Death eyeshadow palette from Freedom. If you didn't know Freedom is created by the same people who make Make Up Revolution. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews of Freedom products and finally decided to pick something from them. I ordered it on Ličila.si (for Slovenian readers) and I think it was on sale for around 6€, which is a bargain.

I chose this palette because I'm really lacking on colours in my makeup collection and this one seemed perfect :)

You get 18g of product and there are 20 eyeshadows in a palette, which is basically 0,9g per eyeshadow. The packaging is nice, sturdy, the only problem I have with it is that I can hardly open it. I don't know if it's just mine, but I'm really struggling with that.

There are mostly bright colours, but there is a selection of neutral shades too - the top three shades would be perfect for highlighting for example.

I was worried when I first swatched the top row - it's badly pigmented. The darker shades are better, as you can see above, but the lighter and brighter colours are quite bad.

The second row actually surprised me again since these shadows are amazing :D I especially love the bottom green duo chrome shadow, such a unique shade!

Keep in mind that all the shades are very chalky. I would also recommend using a white base to make the bright shades even brighter (the swatches above are without primer/base).

PROS:
- sturdy, travel friendly packaging
- 20 eyeshadows
- matt, shimmery and satin shadows
- budget friendly
- big mirror

CONS:
- hard to open
- chalky shadows
- some shadows badly pigmented

Would I recommend it? I have to say it's an average palette with some very badly pigmented shadows and some amazing. I do like the packaging (if it wouldn't be so hard to open) and that it's very budget friendly! So it's on you, if you're on the budget and you want some colour in your life, I'd say buy it! :)

Do you have this palette, what do you think? :)

Kisses,
Katja

  2. Thanks for sharing Katja, Maybe if you use like a primer on your eyes before you put on the less pigmented ones maybe that could help. I am more of a neutral kinda person.
