Christmas TAG / Blogmas Day 7

Hey loves! :)

I really wanted to do the Christmas Tag as I really like all the questions and I want to spread some Christmas cheer! :))

1. Favorite Christmas movie?
It has to be the classic - Home Alone :)

2. Are you on the Naughty list or the Nice list?
I hope I'm on the nice list :D I'm quite sure I am :P

3. Show us an embarrassing Christmas Card photo!
We don't make Christmas cards, so there aren't any photos at all! :)

4. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
I did, but I didn't have it for a couple of years now.. which is a shame :/

5. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
At home with my loved ones :3

6. Play or sing your favorite Christmas song!
Laaast Christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away. Thiiiis year, to save me from tears, I'll give it to someone special ;) Wham - last Christmas.

7. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Nop, we actually open presents on the Christmas day.

8. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
I could, but I forgot them :( I only remember Rudolph now :/

9. What holiday tradition are you looking forward to most this year?
Putting up decorations and decorating the Christmas tree :)

10. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
It's fake. But I would like to have a real one, however it takes too much maintenance.

11. Hands down, what's your all-time favorite holiday food and holiday sweet treat?
Marshmellows :P

12. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I can't choose really. I like receiving gifts (I mean who doesn't?? :)) but I do also love giving (and shopping:P) them.

13. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
London, Australia,..

14. Does your family have a special holiday recipe you like to help make?
Nop, not really.

15. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
I'm not a pro wrapper by any means, but I can't say that I fail - I'd say I try my best :P

16. Most memorable Holiday moment?
The most memorable is also the most embarrassing one and I can't believe I'm writing it here since even my friends don't know about this... :D
We open our presents on the Christmas day, and when I was little I woke up the first one. I saw a lot of presents, but my parents didn't want to wake up yet.. and well, I couldn't wait.. so I opened all of them before they even woke up.. what a selfish child I was -.-

17. What made you realize the truth about Santa?
Honestly, my friends... and my mom still pretended :P now it's fun to pretend again :3 I wish I never knew :P

18. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?
No. I hate new years resolutions, because no one ever sticks to them.

19. What makes the Holidays special for you?
Just being with friends and family.

I tag everyone who would love to do this! :) I'd love to read your answers so let me know if you decide to do it! :)

Kisses,
Katja

REVIEW: Lush Santa's Lip Scrub / Blogmas Day 5

Hey, ho, let's go! :D

Today I have for you a review of the only Lush product that I own - Santa's Lip scrub. I've had it for quite some time now so this will be a proper review :)

What they say: "Smooth and soften lips with our scrumptious, cola-flavored lip scrub. Caster sugar exfoliates away all the rough, dry bits while coconut oil moisturizes for soft, supple kissers. You'll be smitten with the yummy cola flavor and the smattering of tiny, edible red hearts. Simply rub onto lips and lick off, then apply your favorite gloss, lipstick or our Santa Baby lip tint. Soft and tasty lips for the winter season - perfect!"

Let me tell you, this product completely knocked my socks off.. it's phenomenal. But let's start at the beginning. For anyone that doesn't know Lush is a company that makes fresh, handmade cosmetics.

This lip scrub is cola-flavoured and Lush says the ingredients are caster sugar, coconut oil and extract of cherries and dates. The santa's version is a limited edition one, however they do have lip scrubs available all year round.

These scrubs are perfect for this time of the year when the cold weather dries your lips out. Use this once or twice a week and you're lips will be in perfect condition. I especially like to use it whenever I'm using a matte lipstick, because than the lipstick really looks perfect.

You use this by rubbing the scrub into your lips, then simply wipe the excess off or lick it off - YES, IT'S EDIBLE!! :D Well, don't get a spoon and start eating from the pot haha ;)

I think I have it for about a half a year and it looks like I barely touched it, because you really don't need much, so it lasts you for a long time.

To conclude, if you're in the market for a good lip scrub then I really recommend you this one! plus it tastes delicious :P

PROS:
- handmade
- fresh
- cruelty free
- cola-flavoured
- edible

CONS:
- it's not as moisturizing as they say, but anyway, it's a scrub and I really don't expect that from it

I hope you're enjoying my Blogmas posts! :))

Have a lovely weekend,
Katja

November Favorites / Blogmas Day 3

Hey loves :)

Blogmas day number 3 already and today I'll share with you my beauty favorites for the month of November.

1. Essence Soo Blush! Cream to powder blush - 20 everything is better in pink

I wasn't sure about this blush at first, but then it grew to me and I've been using it for a couple of months constantly. I thought the colour wouldn't suit me, but it surprised me. It may look quite an unwearable colour at first, but you really don't need much and it blends like a dream. My cheeks look naturally flushed and I love it. I always use it with fingers and then blend it out with a brush, because that way it applies better on my skin.

2. Essence "Fairytale" LE Shimmer Powder - 01 pixie dust

A product from an old limited edition called Fairytale. It's a shimmer powder, but I'm using it as an inner highlight and it's extremely beautiful as that. A perfect shimmery colour, nothing to say more :)

3. Maybelline Affinitone Concealer - 02 Natural

An amazing concealer, better than Bourjois one. Bourjois concealer clings to my dry patches and this one doesn't. Blends really nice, the colour suits me perfect and it does have a medium coverage. It's also buildable.

4. Oriflame "Hypnotic" Wonder Lash Mascara - silver frost & golden embers

If anyone from Oriflame actually reads this, please, I beg you, bring these mascaras back :D These are extremely good, I blame the wand for that. They have two sides, one is a standard black mascara and the other one is silver/gold. I love both! I'll be really sad when I run out of them, I do however have a backup of the gold one, thank god. The gold/Silver shimmer is actually really visible on your lashes and it just adds a special touch to the makeup. It's very pretty for this time of the year :)

I hope you enjoyed guys!

Kisses,
Katja

REVIEW: Labello Lip Butter / Blogmas Day 1

Hey loves :) I decided I'll try to do Blogmas this year, which means blogging from the 1st of December to 25th, everyday, but I'll try to do it till the last of the month, so till 31st. I'll hope you enjoy, I have some posts planned already :)

Today's review is about the Labello Lip Butter. I know I'm late to the party with this one haha, but anyway :) I got this lip butter from my dear friend last year for Christmas :3

Mine is the Vanilla & Macadamia version, but they also have the original, raspberry, blueberry and coconut.

It's not that bad, hydrates nicely if you don't have extremely dry lips, and the formula is not to heavy or waxy, but it can leave a slight white cast on the lips. Smells nice, but I mostly smell vanilla, not really macadamia.

To be honest, I've waited with reviewing this because I've been kinda waiting for a miracle to happen and I start to love it.. I've read only good reviews, but I'm sorry, I really don't get the hype.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad lip balm, however it really is nothing special, I prefer my Burt's bees when my lips are in bad condition.

Oh and I absolutely HATE the packaging. I have to keep it a little bit open, because it's so hard to open the lid, so I only use it at home. It's not really travel friendly plus I also don't like applying it with fingers and that's the other reason why I only use it at home.

The product didn't convince me and when I ran out of it I won't be buying it. To conclude, it's an average lip balm with the exception of horrible packaging, but if the packaging and using fingers to apply don't bother you, you may actually like it :)

PROS:
- nice smell
- not too heavy or waxy
- hydrating

CONS:
- you have to reapply it a lot
- THE PACKAGING!!
- using fingers to apply

If any of you have tried this product, please tell me I'm not the only one that doesn't get the hype around this :D

Kisses,
Katja
