My Beauty Box - September

Hey everyone :)

Today I'll introduce you to my newest beauty box subscription - My Beauty Box. They're an EU based beauty box subscription service and they deliver to every country in Europe. It costs 15€ including shipping.

I decided to get one in September because I really liked the contents of previous boxes.

This one was definitely worth a price to me, even though I don't use nail polishes anymore because of nature of my work.

The first thing inside are Tattify nail wraps in full size. You could get 5 different designs, I don't really enjoy mine unfortunately.

Next is an Essie nail polish, also in full size. They also picked 5 different polishes that complement the wraps that you got in the box, so you can wear them together, or on their own. I got mine in nice nude shade which you can never go wrong with.

Third item is an Apivita moisturizing face mask with aloe (2 sachets). I love masks, so this is perfect for me.

Next is a NYX Diamond sparkle lip gloss in full size. You could get two different shades in the box. Both are coppery in tone. I absolutely love mine, I wore it quite a lot actually. Perfect for autumn and not sticky at all! Looks beautiful :)

The next item we got is a Rimmel by Kate Moss eyeshadow stick, also full size in shade Rose gold. I love the fact that it's so easy to use, but I would like it to be more pigmented though. Nice for every day nonetheless.

And the last but not the least is a bonus item we got. It's a Pilaten black peel-off mask. I know these are too aggressive for the skin, but I'm glad I can now try it for myself.

All in all, it's definitely worth 15€, the Essie polish alone costs 10€ here in Slovenia. I did like the box so I'll probably get the October one as well.

REVIEW: Hikari Eyeshadow Quad Tonya

Today I have a review for you of a product that was inside my LookFantastic September Beauty box. It's a Hikari eyeshadow quad in Tonya. The quad is available for $15 on hikaricosmetics.com

Ingredients 

Talc, Mica, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Maganesium Stearate, Silica, Mineral Oil, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polyethylene Wax, Polybutene, Squalane, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. MAY CONTAIN +/-: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Red Iron Oxide (CI 77491), Yellow Iron Oxide (CI 77492), Black Iron Oxide (CI 77499), Ultramarine Blue (CI 77007), FD&C Yellow No.5 Lake (CI 19140), FD&C Blue No.1 Lake (CI 42090), FD&C Red No.40 (CI 16035), Manganese Violet (CI 77742). 

 
I’m a bit disappointed with the pigmentation of the swatches, especially the matte shades, although admittedly some shadows work better with brushes. The powder is very fine and silky.

 

 The combination of colours gets you a nice everyday look to wear for work/school. Still, for my taste these are not as pigmented as I would like them to be. I'm not sure if I'll keep the quad or if I will pass it.

If you like the natural look I guess you would really like this one. I do like the fact that the shadows blend nicely and they really look good together.

REVIEW: Avon Mark Big & Style Volume Mascara

Hello everyone :)

Today I have a review of new Avon's Mark Big & style volume mascara. I've been testing it for a while now so I can finally give you my honest opinion.

Here are the ingredients:

As you can see the first ingredient is water, then polyurethane-35 which is a standard ingredient in mascara, it's not on any list of toxic chemicals. Also includes cera alba, which is bees wax plus dimethicone which is a silicone oil.

I like the design of the mascara, it's standard for all their Big & ... mascaras :) You get 10 ml of product for 6,50€. Comes in two colours, brown black and black which is the colour I chose.

The first thing I did not like about this mascara is the wand. It's actually really big and I'm always scared to use it near my eyes. It has short and long bristles which are promised to help to add volume to every lash. I like my lashes really big and bold. The effect it gives, well ... nothing special at all. It did colour my lashes black but otherwise I did not see any volume. It also didn't separate my lashes which I want from mascara the most.

And with two coats of Mark mascara:

I naturally have quite long lashes as you can see on the before pictures, so other than giving them colour the mascara performed really poorly. But it also depends on what you like, if you like a natural look, this one might be for you. I like that it doesn't smudge at all.


PROS:

- doesn't smudge
- ingredients

CONS:
- doesn't give a lot of volume or length
- big wand that I'm actually quite scared of :D


To conclude, I prefer my lashes dramatic and this mascara definitely isn't one for that. It will however give you a nice natural look. If you like that, go for it.
