REVIEW: Balea Spray-On Body Lotion

Hey everyone :)

Today's post is about the Balea Spray - On body lotion. I think this might be quite new in the DM, or at least it's new for me :P

It's basically a lotion that you spray on your body. I was fascinated by that and really excited to try it. I have to say I'm usually quite lazy with applying the lotion since I don't have dry skin on my body (except on elbows), but that's still bad I know :P

Here are the ingredients if anyone's interested.

It contains 10% aloe vera and you get 150 ml of product for around 1€, which is a bargain.

I'm not a fan of in-shower body lotions, but this one I quite like. It's very easy to use, you just spray it on and quickly massage it in.

It absorbs in a matter of seconds and doesn't leave a greasy layer like some of the lotions do. The scent is nice also, if anyone is familiar with the Balea shaving cream with aloe vera - smells very similar, but more powdery.

If you're on the market for a body lotion, I would totally recommend you to try this one. It's very affordable and easy to use. Also very appropriate for traveling! :)

Have a lovely weekend guys!

Kisses,
Katja

Essence "Lights Of Orient" LE - My picks/Review

Hey loves :3

I'm late again to the party, but I don't care since the limited edition from Essence called Lights Of Orient, is still available in the stores :) I hope my opinion will help you with choosing the items ;)

Essence is definitely on the role with their latest limited editions, since they're pretty much amazing! Lights of Orient caught my eye especially because of the beautiful packaging. You can see here all the products that this limited edition consists of -> click.

I picked up three items, let's start shall we? ;)

1. Essence "Lights Of Orient" LE - Body Splash 01 Genie in a bottle

This body splash comes in a small plastic bottle. You get 100 ml for 3,29€. It actually smells exactly like Essence's perfume called "Like a day in a paradise", so if you like the scent you can get the perfume instead, let me tell you it's very strong & sweet.

There's also small gold shimmer in the bottle at the bottom. You have to shake the bottle and then spray it on. The shimmer is also quite visible on your skin, so keep in mind that. Unfortunately it's not very long lasting since it is a body splash.

2. Essence "Lights Of Orient" LE - Matt Lipstick 02 Princess Jasmines Choice

I knew I needed this lipstick when I first saw swatches of it. The shade is amazing, a mix of mauve and purple. It's smooth and the finish is matte, hence it can emphasize the dry patches, like all the matte lipsticks in general. You get 1,9g for 2,29€.

The longevity I have to say is pretty impressive for such a budget friendly lipstick. It even survives drinking/eating.

3. Essence "Lights Of Orient" LE - Eyeshadow Palette 01 We Arabian Nights

In my opinion the prettiest piece in the collection. The packaging is sooo stunning. This eyeshadow palette includes rosy tones, golds & browns as well. The shadows are very pigmented and easy to work with. Contains 5 shimmery shades and one matte.

I would definitely recommend picking this up! You get 9,12g for around 5€.

All in all I'd definitely recommend all the three products I chose and I'm definitely not disappointed in any of them.

Let me know if you have picked anything? :)

Have a great week everyone, Kisses,
Katja

First Impressions: Avon Nutra Effects - Micellar Cleansing Water

Hey loves :)

After a long time another first impressions post. Today It's about the newest addition to the Avon's Nutra Effects range - Micellar Cleansing Water.

It's meant for all skin types and you all know how I feel about that by now. To me it seems the claim to fit all skin types, hair types etc. ridiculous, but oh well :D I have combination skin type and so far it worked just nice.

I really like that it's not scented at all, because it will appeal to all people. It's also soap free, allergy tested and free of parabens and dyes, which I appreciate since I'm trying to use more natural options. They also claim it's suitable for sensitive skin which I can't say if it's true since my skin is not that sensitive at all.

I've used it a few times now and I have to say though it removed my face makeup nicely with almost no effort at all, I really struggled to remove my mascara, and I don't use waterproof versions. I've actually had to use another micellar just to remove the mascara fully. But I do have to say I really pack the mascara on my lashes, because my main focus is on lashes, so I do use a few mascaras on everyday bases, like 3-4 and that might be why I didn't work as nice as on my face.

All in all it's a nice micellar water, but I think they're better ones out there, especially if you wear a full face makeup a lot!

Hope you enjoyed, have a lovely weekend guys :) And please don't forget the giveaway is still open -> CLICK.

Kisses,
Katja

REVIEW: Oriflame Love Nature Face Toner

Hey everyone :)

I wanted to do this review because the Oriflame Love Nature tea tree range has been my hoily grail for years. I've been struggling with spots/acne when I was a teenager and it was really, really bad. I tried a lot of different products, from quite expensive ones to the less. This whole range helped me immediately and it really is affordable.

The tea tree range is meant for oily skin, but it works amazing for me and I have combination skin. Today I have for you a review of the face toner.

It comes in a transparent bottle and has a white screw cap. I think it's travel friendly, but it can be bulky, since the bottle isn't that small. It's light green colour with liquid consistency. You simply need to pour a small amount of the toner onto the cotton pad and swipe it gently over your face. It absorbs almost instantly. Feels nice and cool on the skin, it controls oil and keeps my skin oil free for a long time.

My only complaint with this toner is that it contains alcohol. It does have a strong tea tree scent and some people may not like it.

PROS:
- keeps skin smooth and oil free
- contains tea tree
- prevents pimples from occurring
- soothes and treats acne

CONS:
- contains alcohol
- strong tea tree scent might bother some people

I would highly recommend this range for people with oily/combination skin. It not only makes skin clean and oil free, but keeps pimples at bay.

Hope you enjoyed, Kisses,

Katja :)

REVIEW: Essence "Wake Up, Spring!" LE - 01 Hello Sunshine Blush

Hey loves :3

I know I'm late to the party, but I still wanted to review a blush from one of the latest Essence's limited editions - Wake Up, Spring!, because you can still find it in some stores. This limited edition looked really cute, but I only bought myself the nail stickers and a blush in 01 Hello Sunshine :)

The cute packaging totally sold me and you're soon gonna see why ;) I like the colour as well, it's a classic peach. I do however have similar colours in my collection so it's nothing special.

It's more on the sheer side, but you can layer it.

It has an additional compartment underneath and an integrated mirror. It also has a cute quote written, now you see why the packaging sold me completely :P The only thing I wish it was made more sturdy, since the middle part where the blush/mirror is, is very loose and I'm always scared I'll broke the mirror or something because it wobbles all the time.

All in all I think it's a nice blush. Definitely a collector's piece since the packaging is beautiful :D

PROS:
- cute packaging
- nice peachy colour
- integrated mirror

CONS:
- I'd like the packaging to be more sturdy
- sheer, but can be buildable

Hope you enjoyed! :)

Kisses,
Katja
