Homemade Popsicles

Hey guys :)

I know my blog is usually all about the beauty related stuff, however I really wanted to share this with you :) Lately I've been on a "health kick" since I really want to live more of a healthier lifestyle than I was before, however I'm obsessed with the ice cream in the summer and we all know it's not healthy for you :P

I recently saw in the store Kik (but you can get it elsewhere as well, for example Ebay) these popsicles mold and I knew I have to buy it! First of all it's extremely affordable - I paid around 2€ for a mold for 6 popsicles and I love the fact that you make it yourself since you yourself choose the ingredients for it (so it's not that bad for you) plus you probably don't eat as much of it since you don't always have the time (or you're too lazy) to do them :D

www.ebay.com

So far I've done a few popsicles already and I really enjoy it! :) I also love the fact that you can make them as easier as you want - just squeeze a lemon/orange in the water, blend some fruits and add milk/water or you can make them more sophisticated and I'll share with you some recipes for that ;)

Strawberry - Banana Popsicles

Ingredients:
- Strawberries
- Banana
- Juice

Simply peel a banana, blend with 12 large strawberries, a little juice, pour into ice pop molds and freeze. Yep, that's it! :)

Easy Orange Popsicles

Ingredients:
- 1 package (3 oz.) orange gelatin
- 1 envelope (.15oz) unsweetened orange soft drink mix
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups cold water

In a bowl, mix first 4 ingredients until dissolved. Stir in cold water. Pour in molds and freeze.
*You could use strawberry gelatin and strawberry drink mix or you could try other flavors. Don’t forget lemon or lime.

Or if you're too lazy, there's another easy version as well:

I hope you enjoyed this a little bit different post today ;)

Let me know if you try any of the recipes :) Kisses,

REVIEW: Avon Anew Vitale Visible Perfection BB Cream

Hey everyone :)

Today I'll write about the Avon's newest addition to the Anew Vitale visible perfection range, which is a BB cream. As you may or may not know the Anew range is usually more expensive, however this BB cream is really affordable, costs around 6,90€ and you get  30 ml of product! :)

BB creams are in the summer definitely  a must for me, because I don't want to wear a full coverage foundation since it's so hot outside! This one is travel friendly, because it's small, so a plus if you want to take it to the seaside! :)

The cream comes only in one shade and it's suppose to adjust to your skin tone. Usually I hate creams like this - up to this point they always turned out much darker on me than my skin is. This one however surprised me and it really matches my tone nicely. It does give you a light coverage, which almost all of BB creams do, since they're not really foundations, they're more like a tinted moisturizers.

It contains SPF 20 UVA/UVB, which is really nice in the summer days as well.

It claims to also fill in your pores, but I didn't really notice that - keep in mind I do have enormous pores, so that just may be why ;)

I have to say I'm using it since I bought it, and that's at least three weeks now. I like it a lot, especially right now when it's extremely hot outside and the last thing I want is cakey, heavy foundation on my face. I'll definitely take it with me when I go to vacations!

PROS:
- spf 20 uva/uvb
- lightweight
- travel friendly
- affordable!

CONS:
- it does have a light scent, that may bother some people
- light coverage (which can also be a pro, depending on what you're looking for ;))

Hope you enjoyed this, let me know if you have tried it ;)

Kisses,
Katja

Empties #19

Hello everyone :)

My last empties post was in May, so now it's definitely the time to write another one since I have accumulated a few products ;)

Enjoy!

Catrice Prime And Fine Pore Refining Anti-Shine Base - to be completely honest with you guys, I didn't feel like it made any difference on my face. It definitely didn't fill my pores in or make my skin smoother. I think it's quite pricey and promises a lot, but doesn't deliver and I think it's not worth the money.

Repurchase: No.

Nivea Creme - the original Nivea creme.I love the smell of it, but I would recommend it to extremely dry skin types. I have a combination skin (oily/dry) and usually it's a bit too heavy for me. In the winter, when my skin is more dry - last year it was actually extremely dry, I use this cream and it always helps me! My boyfriend also uses it since he does have extremely dry skin type and he loves it, he wouldn't trade it for anything!
Repurchase: I did already :)

Subrina Cherry Blossom Shower Gel - oh this shower gel had a heavenly scent, I loved it so much! You can really smell cherry blossoms and the scent lingers on your skin, which I also love.

Repurchase: Yep, I did already.

Afrodita Vanilla Cream, Cream Shower Gel - If you like Vanilla, you need this in your life ;) It's paraben, paraffin and silicone free. It contains small cocoa particles that are very gentle, plus it's very creamy and because of that it lasts you longer than an average shower gel :)

Repurchase: I will in the future.

Parodontax Toothpaste - I've written many times about this toothpaste, to conclude my posts - it's very good if you have problems with bleeding gums, actually it's the only toothpaste that helped me. Yes, the price point is a bit high, but you can get it on sale like I always do, for around 3€ and that's a bargain for a great quality toothpaste. It also has a distinctive taste to it and you have to get used to it, it tastes herbally.

Repurchase: Yes, but without fluoride.

Palmolive Hand Soap - with almond milk. I liked the scent, it was a nice hand soap, nothing special either.

Repurchase: Not at the moment, I like to try different scents.

Moj Dan Cleansing wipes 3 in 1 - for the times when I'm too lazy to properly remove my makeup (admit it, everyone has those days :P). I like these since they are cheap and also free of alcohol, colorants, PEG and parabens!

Repurchase: Yes, I did.

Felce Azzurra SoftProtection Deo Spray - in my last empties I showed you the Felce Azzurra shower gel, which I hated so much, it was horrible. This deo spray I also received from my mom and unlike the shower gel, I loved it! I wasn't too fond of a scent, which was powdery, but I didn't hate it either. The thing that surprised me was the longevity - on me it lasted the whole day!

Repurchase: I will for sure!

Garnier Fructis Anti Dandruff Shampoo - The only thing I liked about this product is the fruity scent. Otherwise it's a crappy product.

Repurchase: No.

Nivea Creme Smooth Shower Gel - a creamy shower gel that I really enjoyed. It lingered on my skin and also left it very soft and moisturized.

Repurchase: Definitely in the future.

Palmolive Irresistibile Morbidezza Shower Gel - with black orchid and moisturizing milk. Liked the scent and it was a nice shower gel.

Repurchase: Maybe.

Oriflame VeryMe Cover Up Concealer - I didn't like it as concealer, so I used it as an eyeshadow base and it worked okay.

Repurchase: No.

Oriflame Black Kohl Pencil - I really enjoyed it. It didn't smudge and lasted quite long.

Repurchase: Maybe

Avon Glimmerstick Diamonds Eye liner in Spacey Silver - I loved this one so much, I'm really sad it's gone. It was a black eyeliner with a silver glitter in it, so nice!

Repurchase: I would but I think this shade is discontinued now :(

Hope you enjoyed and have a great day <3

REVIEW: Freedom Clubbed To Death Eyeshadow Palette

Hey loves :)

Today's post is all about the Clubbed To Death eyeshadow palette from Freedom. If you didn't know Freedom is created by the same people who make Make Up Revolution. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews of Freedom products and finally decided to pick something from them. I ordered it on Ličila.si (for Slovenian readers) and I think it was on sale for around 6€, which is a bargain.

I chose this palette because I'm really lacking on colours in my makeup collection and this one seemed perfect :)

You get 18g of product and there are 20 eyeshadows in a palette, which is basically 0,9g per eyeshadow. The packaging is nice, sturdy, the only problem I have with it is that I can hardly open it. I don't know if it's just mine, but I'm really struggling with that.

There are mostly bright colours, but there is a selection of neutral shades too - the top three shades would be perfect for highlighting for example.

I was worried when I first swatched the top row - it's badly pigmented. The darker shades are better, as you can see above, but the lighter and brighter colours are quite bad.

The second row actually surprised me again since these shadows are amazing :D I especially love the bottom green duo chrome shadow, such a unique shade!

Keep in mind that all the shades are very chalky. I would also recommend using a white base to make the bright shades even brighter (the swatches above are without primer/base).

PROS:
- sturdy, travel friendly packaging
- 20 eyeshadows
- matt, shimmery and satin shadows
- budget friendly
- big mirror

CONS:
- hard to open
- chalky shadows
- some shadows badly pigmented

Would I recommend it? I have to say it's an average palette with some very badly pigmented shadows and some amazing. I do like the packaging (if it wouldn't be so hard to open) and that it's very budget friendly! So it's on you, if you're on the budget and you want some colour in your life, I'd say buy it! :)

Do you have this palette, what do you think? :)

Kisses,
Katja

REVIEW: Essence "Juice It!" LE - Lip Smoothie

Hey loves :)

Essence has been coming out with very interesting limited editions, especially for those who fall for nice packaging haha, as I do :P Nonetheless, the products itself are nice too! ;)

The Juice it! limited edition is quite new in the drugstore. Visually it really appealed to me, but I decided I don't need anything, except the lip smoothie, which I couldn't resist :D Oh and recently I've traded one of my makeup items for a detangle brush from this collection as well! :)

You can see the whole items this collection consists of here -> CLICK.

This lip smoothie is available in 01 Pretty, with a cherry on top! :D Such a funny name, Essence is really good at naming products if you haven't noticed yet :D

The packaging of this product is definitely a winner in my book, it looks like a cherry! It looks glossy on your lips and transparent although Essence promises a delicate pink colour. I do not mind that, but just wanted to mention it. It absorbs into your lips after about half an hour and leaves them feeling very soft.

It has a slight cherry scent (to me it smells like one particular flavour of chewing gum, one from Hubba Bubba :D). This fruity scents can often be too much and smell very artificial, however this one I'd say is very subtle and not exaggerated.

Overall I really like this product, I have to say mostly because of the packaging, but it's a nice lip balm as well and you can never have enough of lip balms in your life right? ;)

Hope you enjoyed, Have a lovely day!

Hey everyone :)

I'll share with you my new products from Born Pretty Store, because I had another opportunity from them to choose items for review purposes. Thank you Born Pretty Store so much, I love working with you guys and your products are affordable + very nice quality!

If you haven't heard about the store yet, they have an amazing variety of products plus they offer free worldwide shipping and they always have great deals! :)

I chose three items and it usually takes about 5 weeks to arrive to Slovenia.

The first item I chose is this set of bracelets.

There are 5 bracelets in a set - gold tone beads, black beads, pearl beads, diamante gems & rose beads, that you can layer, or you can wear them completely separately. They are adjustable, so that's very nice. I especially love the one that has rose design <3

The set of 5 bracelets retails for 6,92$ and you can get it here -> click. I chose mine in black, but you can get different colours.

The next item I chose because summer is right around the corner and I was in need of some cute sunglasses :P

I think these are extremely cute, I'm just not that sure they suit me nice :D They're very lightweight and I chose mine in this greenish shade, but they do offer 4 other colours as well.

The sunglasses retail for 4,54$ - they're on sale currently and you can buy them here -> click.

And the last but not the least is a beautiful statement necklace.

It's a beautiful design and very great quality. I chose mine in pastel colours, but they offer it also in silver and blue/green. I really like the fact that you can dress it up or down, it's perfect for any occasion.

You can get this necklace for 5,92$ here -> click.

If you want to save even more money, you can use my code TJAT10, which is valid for all non-discounted items on Born Pretty Store!

Thank you to the company again and I hope you guys enjoyed, let me know what is your favourite item I chose ;)

Katja
