REVIEW: Rimmel Stay Matte Primer

I'm back with another review. This time it's a review of the Rimmel Stay Matte primer. You get 30 ml of product which is packaged in a white and purple tube.

What Rimmel says: "Ultra lightweight formula that minimizes the appearance of pores. Controls shine for up to 8 hours creating a soft, perfectly matte complexion.Won’t feel heavy or greasy."

 

I have oily skin and I also have very, very large pores. I have to say, I didn't notice any difference in pores, however it might be because mine are very large. The primer itself is white, not tinted, with a creamy formula.  It claims to be an ultraweight light formula, however it did feel like there's something on my skin, but it wasn't a heavy feeling.

As for keeping me matte, I guess it does that. I would recommend it if you're skin is very oily. Mine however is oily, with dry forehead and chin, and this primer left dry patches on my skin. You also have to be very careful with the amount you're using (very small amount) because it will make your foundation look cakey!

PROS:

- lightweight

- doesn't feel heavy

- doesn't feel greasy

- mattifies

CONS:

- I didn't notice any difference in size of the pores (however mine are enormous:P)

- not good for dry skin (it leaves dry patches)

- cakey 

To conclude, the primer is good for it's price, however you have to consider all the cons. I recommend it to people with very oily skin.
